As a result of the way energy has been globally produced since the industrial revolution, the average global temperature of the Earth is rising. Climate change presents an existential threat not only to human life, but potentially 80% of all lifeforms on the planet according to the 2018 IPCC report. We enter era where we must transform most aspects of our modern life to create a sustainable global economy. I intend on dedicating my career to the biotechnology sector, with the goal of developing products/services that eliminate carbon emissions.
